AFCAT Eligibility Details: Indian Air Force (IAF) recruits Commissioned Officers in Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branches through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). Candidates intending to apply should ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as specified by IAF:

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should be an Indian Citizen.

Age Limit:

For Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: Candidates age should be between 20-24 years i.e. born between 20 to 24 Years as on 01-01-2022 i.e. born between 02-01-1998 to 01-01-2002 (both dates inclusive). relaxable upto 26 years i.e. born between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive)

For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: 20 to 26 years as on (01-01-2022) i.e. born between 02-01-1996 to 01-01-2002 (both dates inclusive) for Technical Branch & Non-Technical Branch.

AFCAT Syllabus: Indian Air Force (IAF) recruits Commissioned Officers in Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branches through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). Minimum Educational Qualification is 50% marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level & Any Degree/ BE/B Tech degree (Four years course)/ Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India.  The examination conducts in 3 stages, Online Exam, written examination & Interview.The details regarding Syllabus are as follows…

(i) English: Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonyms, Antonyms & Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms & Phrases

(ii) General Awareness: History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Sports, etc

(iii) Numerical Ability: Decimal Fraction, Time & Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion & Simple Interest, Time & Distance (Trains/Boats & Streams)

(iv) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability

Standard: The standard of Numerical Ability Questions will be of Matriculation level. The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level (Indian University)
