The Central Government has launched the Agneepath Recruitment Scheme on June 14 to recruit a large number of youth in all the three branches of the Army – Army, Navy and Air Force. Under this scheme, the youth will have to serve in the Defense Force for only 4 years. The government has taken this step to reduce the budget of salary and pension.
Along with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, the three army chiefs have announced this plan by holding a press conference. The first recruitment rally will be held in 90 days. The Agneepath Recruitment Scheme prepared by the Department of Military Affairs was earlier named ‘Tour of Duty’.
Under this scheme, more soldiers will be recruited for short-term. The department itself will also implement it. The government has introduced this scheme to cut its expenses and to increase the number of youth in the Defense Force.

Question: What is Agneepath scheme?
Answer: It is an All India Short Term Service Youth Recruitment Scheme for Armed Forces. The jawans recruited as Agniveers will be deployed in desert, mountain, land, sea or air.
Question: Who will be eligible to apply for recruitment under Agneepath scheme?
Answer: The age limit to be eligible for the scheme is 17.5-21 years. Youth who have passed 10th and 12th can apply for this.

केंद्र सरकार ने सेना की तीनों शाखाओं- थल सेना, नौसेना और वायु सेना में बड़ी संख्या में युवाओं की भर्ती के लिए 14 जून को अग्निपथ भर्ती योजना शुरू की है। इस योजना के तहत युवाओं को सिर्फ 4 साल तक रक्षा बल में सेवा देनी होगी। सरकार ने वेतन और पेंशन के बजट को कम करने के लिए यह कदम उठाया है।

प्रश्न: अग्निपथ योजना क्या है?
उत्तर: यह सशस्त्र बलों के लिए एक अखिल भारतीय अल्पकालिक सेवा युवा भर्ती योजना है। अग्निवीर के रूप में भर्ती किए गए जवानों को रेगिस्तान, पहाड़, जमीन, समुद्र या हवा में तैनात किया जाएगा।
प्रश्न: अग्निपथ योजना के तहत भर्ती के लिए आवेदन करने के लिए कौन पात्र होगा?

जवाब : एग्नीवर्स को ज्वाइनिंग के पहले साल में 4.76 लाख रुपए का पैकेज मिलेगा। वहीं, 4 साल की अवधि खत्म होने तक इसे बढ़ाकर 6.92 लाख रुपये किया जा सकता है. यानी अग्निवीरों को हर महीने 30 हजार से 40 हजार वेतन मिलेगा। इसके अलावा तीनों सेनाओं के स्थायी सैनिकों की तरह पुरस्कार, पदक, भत्ते दिए जाएंगे। वहीं, सरकार 44 लाख का बीमा भी देगी।

उत्तर: अग्निवीर सेना में स्थायी नौकरी के लिए 4 साल का कार्यकाल पूरा होने के बाद आवेदन कर सकेंगे। सेना के अधिकारी अपनी योग्यता और प्रदर्शन के आधार पर अग्निशामकों को स्थायी मानेंगे। स्थायी संवर्ग में 25 प्रतिशत ‘अग्निवर’ की भर्ती की जायेगी।

उत्तर: सेना से सेवानिवृत्त होने वाले 75% अग्निवीरों को सेवा निधि पैकेज दिया जाएगा। 11-12 लाख रुपये के इस पैकेज को आंशिक रूप से अग्निवीरों के मासिक योगदान से वित्त पोषित किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा उन्हें स्किल सर्टिफिकेट और बैंक लोन के जरिए एक और करियर शुरू करने में मदद मिलेगी।
प्रश्नः अग्निपथ योजना के तहत प्रतिवर्ष कितने युवाओं की भर्ती की जाएगी?
उत्तर: अग्निपथ के तहत हर साल करीब 45 हजार युवाओं को सेना में शामिल किया जाएगा।
